House Hunting

A little over a week ago we entered escrow on the sale of our house. It’s a bittersweet time. We are excited to be looking for a new home, but sad to be saying goodbye to our first house.

We have put a lot of work into that house, and it has served us well, but it is time to find a little more space. So, we are on the hunt.

To this point it has been pretty disappointing. We thought we had found the perfect home only to be out bid by more than 30K. Pretty crazy, right?

And this weekend, we thought we had found another possibility, until we heard that offers were already out of our price range.

Turns out it’s a tough time to be buying. A great time to sell. But, a tough time to buy.

So, we are back on the hunt.

In fact, last night we looked at two houses that sounded promising on paper. Unfortunately, they were disappointing in person. And, that seems to be the rule instead of the exception these days.

Here’s hoping something promising comes our way again soon.
