Favorite Music Releases of 2011

The end of the year is quickly approaching, and this morning I was thinking back upon all the great music the year brought. So, I thought I would list my five favorite releases for 2011. But, when I sat down to do it, I had trouble limiting the list to just five. So, I present to you, my top 6 favorite releases of 2011, in no particular order.

Wasting Light – Foo Fighters
21 – Adele
Barton Hollow – The Civil Wars
Bon Iver – Bon Iver
Mountaintops – Mates of State
Strange Negotiations – David Bazan

  1. Cool, good stuff, Brian! The Civil Wars are great! If you like them, I think you’d really like the Americana duo Sara Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion. Their new album, Bright Examples, was good. Also, check out a group called Dawes. Both of their albums are spectacular, and their 2011 release is called Nothing Is Wrong.
