For those of you following the Burbank Winter Shelter saga, there's a new article in the Burbank Leader. It's not sounding good for the future of the shelter in Burbank, and that disappoints me greatly. I understand the frustration with the shelter's organizers for not completely holding up their end of the bargain, but the need is obviously there. After all, 17% of the shelters occupants were from Burbank. As a community what are we going to do for them now? Do we just go on ignoring those in need, shipping them elsewhere so we don't have to deal with them?
