It looks as though Adobe Photoshop CS4 will come in a 64-bit Windows version and a 32-bit Apple version. Apple fans may have to wait until CS5 for 64-bit functionality. According to MacRumors.com "the reason for the delay is due to Apple's abrupt dropping of Carbon 64-bit support."
I wonder if this delay will serve to further level the computing field. For years Apple has enjoyed being the design friendly platform, while Windows machines have been the choice of businesses. Will Windows' 64-bit version of CS4 change things, or will Apple fans remain loyal? I imagine this will mostly just mean bad news for Adobe.
