I have the pleasure of working with volunteers at work. Usually we have them work on exciting tasks like letter stuffing and filing. Today we have a volunteer diligently stuffing invitations for an upcoming event.

Every once in a while we get a volunteer who is a real character. Today’s is no exception. Just a moment ago, as I walked into our mailing area to pick up something from the printer, our volunteer said to me, out of the blue, “So, why don’t you ever tell me any jokes?” Now, that question wouldn’t have been so odd if I had been telling jokes around the office leaving him out of the hilarity, or if I had known him for more than the 20 minutes he has been here this morning; however, neither of those situations were the case. Strange? What do you think?
