You know what I realized today? There is entirely not enough Orange Bang in my diet. The only time I am privileged enough to taste the sweet, orange frothiness, of this rarely mentioned nectar of the gods is when I choose to indulge myself in the wholesome goodness of a pastrami sandwich from The Hat. Nothing goes better with a nice juicy pastrami sandwich that a tall cool cup of Orange Bang.

I second that! Nick and I had many a visit to The Hat in Brea while we worked at Tower Records. Orange Bang & Pastrami is the new Peanut Butter & Jelly.

One year when I was probably 10, we had annual passes to Disneyland. In the evening, after my dad got home, we would all pack up the car and go to Tom’s Place in Anaheim and get grilled cheese sandwiches and orange bang for dinner. Then we would go to Disneyland for a couple of hours. It was fantastic.

The Hat, I haven’t been there in years….and there is one near my parents house in Temple City. They make the “Worlds best Pastrami Sandwich, and they can prove it” according to their marquis
