Today, as I was indulging in one of my childhood favorites, McDonalds Chicken McNuggets, I was a little disturbed by something I noticed. No, it wasn’t the McCafe menu. It was the large number of unattended children running around the restaurant that bothered me the most. Now, I understand McDonalds is a great place for kids with the PlayPlace, and all, but there were a bunch of kids wandering around with seemingly no parental supervision. If I were a parent, and I’m not, I would keep close tabs on my child for fear that another McDonalds patron might decide it was in their best interest to kidnap them. That place is so busy, who would notice if someone walked off with a kid? I’m sure it’s happened, and yet there were kids running all over the place while there parents were deep in conversation, ordering food, reading the paper, or staring off into the abyss.
