Ah, 1802, That Was A Good Year!

Last night my wife and I were having dinner with some friends and when the bill came we decided to split it down the middle, as we usually do. The only thing about that, is that usually it is an odd amount and someone ends up paying an extra penny. It is no big deal, but it is a funny conversation point. So, last night the total of my bill came to $18.02 and my friend’s came to $18.03. Being a dork, I looked at my bill and said something along the lines of “Ah, 1802. That was a good year” and my friend immediately retorted that 1803 was a better year, and thusly a challenge began. I set off to find the best, or most, events of 1802 and he the same for 1803. Here is my entry into this challenge
