Cleaned and Polished

Last night Erin and I went to Robbins Brothers to get our rings cleaned and polished. I love getting my wedding band polished. And, I love seeing Erin’s rings looking sparkly and new. I take a certain amount of pride in it because I picked them out.

It’s funny how dirty and dull those rings can get if we don’t have them cleaned and polished regularly. It’s even funnier that we don’t really notice they’re getting dirty or dull, until we have them cleaned. The dirt, kind of, sneaks up on you.

This thought leads me to wonder, do we allow “dirt” to sneak up on us? If so, how often do we clean and polish ourselves?
